The Jazz FM Awards will return in 2019 for its 6th instalment, once again taking place at Shoreditch Town Hall and coinciding with UNESCO’s annual International Jazz Day celebrations on Tuesday 30th April.
The Jazz FM Awards showcase the diverse range of talent on offer across the worlds of jazz, soul and blues by celebrating the best emerging new artists alongside classic jazz icons and established stars. Since its inception, the event has recognised an array of illustrious figures from across the music world including Quincy Jones, The Rolling Stones, George Benson, Dame Cleo Laine, Gregory Porter, Ahmad Jamal, Ramsey Lewis and Hugh Masekela, and has become widely regarded as one of the biggest nights in the UK jazz calendar.
The 2019 nominations for categories which include UK Jazz Act of the Year, The Innovation Award and Album of the Year will be announced in the New Year, along with recipients of the Special Award categories.
